We are pleased to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC for a food drive. Over 26,000 people in Davidson County are considered food insecure, or at risk of hunger – 16.3% of the population. Of these, a staggering 36% do not qualify for government assistance based on income. Second Harvest Food Bank serves 18 counties in our region. Collection boxes will be located at both festival venues starting at the Tuesday Night Jam; click here to view a list of the most needed items.
So check your pantry on the way out the door to the festival or buy a few extra items when you’re doing your Thanksgiving shopping, and help us feed our community. Anyone who brings at least two food items will receive a festival sticker.
